Charles Jenkins is a founding partner of the law firm. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide variety of litigated matters. Mr. Jenkins has tried cases before juries in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Alameda and Monterey Counties, as well as in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Mr. Jenkins currently handles complex commercial, unfair business practices, telecommunications and employment litigation. He has experience prosecuting and defending civil rights cases, including illegal forms of discrimination and excessive force. He also has experience with personal injury cases, including death, psychiatric and cognitive dysfunction claims. He has appeared on CNN discussing food-related products liability lawsuits and has lectured on trial practice for The National Business Institute. He is on the Board of Directors for Cleanscape International Software, Inc.
Mr. Jenkins received his B.A. degree in 1981 from Michigan State University’s School of Business. He won an individual Big Ten Championship and twice competed in the NCAA finals as a gymnast. In 1984, he graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law with distinction for academic achievement. He served as an extern to the Honorable John F. Grady in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; and to the Honorable Betty Berry-Deal in the California Court of Appeal. He currently serves as Judge Pro Tem for the San Francisco Superior Court and as an arbitrator for Sonoma County.
